１章
1.　天の神の御子、イエス・キリストの福音の初め。
2.　預言者たちの書に、「見よ、私は我が使者をあなたの先に遣わす。彼は、あなたの前に、その道を整える。」
3.　「荒野で、叫んでいる者の声がする。『主の道を備えよ。彼がお通りになるもろもろの道をまっすぐにせよ。』」と書かれているように、
4.　ヨハネが来て荒野でバプテスマを施し、もろもろの罪の赦しのための悔い改めのバプテスマを説教していた。
5.　すると、彼のところにユダヤの全土から、また、エルサレムからも人々が出てきて、皆がヨルダン川で、自分たちの罪を告白して、彼からバプテスマを受けていた。
6.　さて、ヨハネはラクダの毛の着物を着ており、彼の腰には皮の帯をしめていた。また、彼はいなごや野生の蜜を食べていた。
7.　そして、説教してこう言った。「私の後に、ある方がこられます。その方は、私よりも力のある方で、私などはひざまづいて、その方の、サンダルのひもをほどいてさしあげる価値もありません。
8.　私はこのとおり、あなたがたに水でバプテスマを施しています。しかし、その方（彼は）は、あなたがたに聖霊によるバプテスマを施して下さいます。」
9.　さて、しばらく日がたって、イエスはガリラヤのナザレからお出でになり、ヨハネからバプテスマをお受けになった。

10.　そして、水から上がるとすぐに、彼はもろもろの天が別れ、御霊が鳩のような形をとって彼の上に下られるのを御覧になった。
11.　その時、もろもろの天から声があった。「あなたは、私の愛する子、私はあなたに心から満足している。」
12.　そしてすぐ、聖霊はイエスを荒野に追いやられた。
13.　そして、彼はその荒野に４０日の間いて、サタンの試みに会われた。また、もろもろの獣が彼と共にいた。そして、御使いたちが彼に仕えた。
14.　さて、ヨハネの投獄の後、主イエスはガリラヤに来て、天の神の福音を宣教された。

17.　そこで、主イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「私についてきなさい。そうすれば、私は汝らを人間をとる漁師にしよう。」
18.　すると、彼らはすぐに自分たちの網をおいて、彼についていった。
19.　また、そこから少し離れたところに行くと、彼はゼベダイの息子のヤコブと彼の兄弟ヨハネとを御覧になった。彼らも船の中で網を修理していた。
20　そこで、彼はすぐに彼らをお呼びになった。すると、彼らはただちに父 ゼベダイと雇い人たちを舟に残して彼について行った。
21.　さて、彼らはカペルナウムに入って行った。そして、彼は安息日には直ちにそのスナゴーグに入ってお教えになった。
22.　すると、彼らは彼の教えに驚嘆した。彼は権威を持った者のように教えになり、律法学者たちのようではなかったからである。
23.　さて、彼らのスナゴーグには、一人の汚れた霊にとりつかれた男がいた。そして、彼は大声で叫んで、
24.　こう言った。「おれたちを放っておいてくれ！おれたちと、あなたとの間が何だっていうんですか？ナザレのイエスよ。あなたはおれたちを滅ぼしに来たんですか？おれはあなたがだれか知っている。天の神の聖者だ。」
25.　しかし、主イエスは彼をしかって仰せになった。「黙れ。そして、この男から出て行け！」
26.　すると、その汚れた霊は彼を悶えさせ、そして、大声で絶叫してから、彼から出ていった。
27.　そこで皆は驚嘆し、互いに論じ合って言った。「これは何ということだ？なんという新しい教えだ？彼は汚れた霊共にさえも権威をもって命じられる。すると、彼らは彼に従うとは。」
28.　そして、彼の名声は、ただちにガリラヤ周辺の全地域にくまなく広がった。
29.　それからすぐにそのスナゴーグを出て、彼らはヤコブやヨハネと共に、シモンとアンデレの家に入って行った。
30.　さて、シモンの姑は熱で寝込んでいた。そこで彼らはすぐに彼女のことを彼に告げた。
31.　すると、彼は来て彼女の手を取って起こされた。すると、彼女の熱はただちに去って彼らをもてなしたのである。
32.　さて、夕方になって日が落ちると、人々は、彼のところに病気の者や悪霊にとりつかれている者たちを皆連れてきた。
33.　そして、町中の者が戸口の所に群がり集まった。
34.　そこで、彼は様々な疾患の人々をたくさんお癒しになった。また、彼は様々な悪霊共を追い出し、その悪霊共がしゃべるのをお許しにならなかった。彼らが彼を知っていたからである。
35.　それから、夜が明け切らないうちに彼は起きあがって出て行き、人気のない所に入って行って、そこで祈っておられた。
36.　さて、シモンと彼の仲間とは、彼のあとについていった。
37.　そして、彼を見つけると、彼らは彼に言った。「皆があなたを捜しております。」
38.　そこで、彼は彼らに仰せになった。「さあ、次の町や村に行って、そこでも宣教しよう。私はこのために来たのだから。」
39.　そして、彼はガリラヤにある、彼らの全てのスナゴーグで宣教し、また、悪霊共を追放された。
40.　さて、彼のもとに一人のライ病患者が来て、ひざまずいて、彼に願ってこう言った。「もし、あなたさまの御心にかないましたなら、あなた様にはこの者を清めることがお出来です。」
41.　すると、主イエスは哀れみの心でいっぱいになり、手をのばしてさわり、そして、彼に仰せになった。「そうしてあげよう。清められよ！」
42.　そして、彼が仰せになると、すぐにレプラは彼から去り、彼は清められたのである。
43.　それから彼は彼をきびしく戒てから、すぐに彼を送り出された。
44.　そして彼に仰せになった。「だれにも、何も話してはいけない。（しかし）、行って、あなた自身を祭司に見せなさい。そして、彼らにあなたの清めを証明するために、モーセの命じた捧げものをして来なさい。」
45.　しかし、彼は出て行って、勝手に語り始め、この事をあちこちに言い広めてしまった。それで、彼はもはや公然とその町の中に入ることができなくなった。そして、郊外の人気のないところにおられたが、人々はあらゆる方向から彼のところにやって来た。

John the Baptist Prepares the Way
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
 2 As it is written in the Prophets:
“Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.”
3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.’”
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
6 Now John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
7 And he preached, saying, “There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
John Baptizes Jesus
9 It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.
 11 Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Satan Tempts Jesus
12 Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.
13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.
Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Four Fishermen Called as Disciples
16 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
 20 And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.
Jesus Casts Out an Unclean Spirit
21 Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught.
22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,
24 saying, “Let usalone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.
27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
28 And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee.
Peter’s Mother-in-Law Healed
29 Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once.
 31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.
Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset
32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.
33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door.
34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
Preaching in Galilee
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.
36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him.
37 When they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”
38 But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”
39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.
Jesus Cleanses a Leper
40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43 And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once,
 44 and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
45 However, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction.

1.　さて、数日後、彼は再びカペルナウムにお入りになった。すると、彼がその家におられるということが伝え広がった。
2.　そして、すぐに（-）大勢が寄り集まって来たので、もはや戸口でさえもいる余地がないほどになった。そこで彼は、彼らに御言葉をお語りになった。
3.　すると、人々が、彼のところに麻痺患者を４人がかりで運んで連れてきた。
4.　しかし、そこにいる群衆のために彼のところに近寄ることができなかったので、彼らは、彼がおられた所の屋根をはがした。そして、彼らは、その麻痺患者が横たわっている担架を降ろしてきた。
5.　主イエスは彼らの信仰を御覧になって、麻痺患者に仰せになった。「子よ。あなたのもろもろの罪は赦された。」
6.　しかし、そこには、律法学者 たちが数人いて、そこに座っていた。そして、それぞれが心の中でつぶやいた。のほかにだれがもろもろの
7.　「どうして、この男はこんなことを言って、汚しごとをするのか。天の神お一人だけが罪を赦せるというのに」
8.　すると、主イエスはすぐにその霊によって、彼らが心中でそんな事をつぶやいているのを読みとられた。そして、彼らに仰せになった。「なぜ、あなたがたは、心の中でそんなことをつぶやいているのか？
9.　どちらがやさしいことか？麻痺患者に向かって、『あなたのもろもろの罪は赦された。』と言うのと、『起きよ。そして、あなたの床を取り上げて歩け。』と言うのとは？
10.　しかし、あなたがたが、人の子が、この地上でもろもろの罪を赦す権威を持っていることを知ることができるように。」彼は、麻痺患者に仰せになった。
11.　「あなたに言う。起きてその床を取り上げよ。そして、自分の家に帰れ。」

15.　さて、彼はレビの家で横になっておられると、多くの徴税請負人たちや罪人たちも主イエスや彼の弟子たちと一緒に席に着いていた。そこには大勢いたが、彼らもイエスについてきたのである。
16.　すると、律法学者たちやファリサイ派の人々は、彼が徴税請負人 たちや罪人たちと一緒に食事をなさっているのを見て、彼の弟子たちに言った。「彼が徴税請負人たちや罪人連中と一緒に食べたり飲んだりするというのは、どういうことかね？」
17.　主イエスはそれを聞いて彼らに仰せになった。「医者が必要なのは、じょうぶな人たちではない。病人たちだ。私が来たのは、正しい人を呼ぶためではない。罪人を呼んで、悔い改めさせるために来たのだ。」
18.　ヨハネの弟子たちや、ファリサイ派の人々は断食をしていた。さて、彼らが来て彼に言った。「どうしてヨハネの弟子たちも、ファリサイ派の人々も断食をしているのに、あなたの弟子たちは断食をしないのですか？」
19.　そこで、主イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「花婿の友人 たちは、花婿が彼らと一緒にいる間に断食ができるだろうか？花婿が一緒にいる限り、断食など彼らはできないだろう。
20.　しかし、その花婿が彼らから取り去られる日が来るが、その日には彼らは断食をする。
21.　だれも新しい布を古い着物に縫いつけたりはしない。そんなことをしたら、その新しい布は古い着物を破ってしまい、そのほころびはもっとひどくなる。
22.　また、だれも新しいワインを、古い革袋に入れたりはしない。そんなことをしたら、その新しいワインがそのもろもろの革袋を破裂させて、そのワインは流れ出てしまうし、その革袋もつかいものにならなくなる。だから、新しいワインは、新しい革袋に入れるものだ。」
23.　さて、しばらくして、彼は安息日に麦畑を通っていたが、彼の弟子たちは道すがらその穂を摘み始めた。
24.　すると、ファリサイ派の人々は彼に言った。「見よ。どうして彼らは安息日におきてを破るようなことをするのか？」
25.　しかし、彼は彼らに仰せになった。「あなたがたはダビデが、彼が欠乏していて、空腹であった時に、彼と供の者たちがしたことをしたことを読んだことがないのか？
26.　大祭司アビアサルの時に、彼は天の神の家に入って、ささげ物のパンを食べた。それは祭司たち以外が食べるなら、おきてに違反 するものだった。また、彼は供の人々にもいくらか与えなかったか？」

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic
2 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.
2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.
 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.
4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
7 “Why does this Manspeak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?
9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’?
 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,
 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
Matthew the Tax Collector
13 Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them.
14 As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.
15 Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”[c]
18 The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”
19 And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
 20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath
23 Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain.
 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
25 But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him:
26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

1.　さて、彼は再び、スナゴーグにお入りになった。すると、そこに片手の萎縮した一人の男性がいた。
2．　それで、彼らは彼に目をこらして見ていた。もしかして、この安息日に彼が彼を癒して、彼を訴えることができるのではと〔思ったからである。〕
3．　すると、彼は、手が枯れてしまっている男性に仰せになった。「前に出なさい。」
4．　それから彼は彼らに仰せになった。「この安息日に良いことをするのと、悪事をするのと、また、救うのと、殺すのと、どちらがおきてにかなっているのか？」しかし、彼らは黙っていた。
5．　そこで、彼は怒りを込めて彼らを見回わし、彼らの心の頑固さを嘆きながら、彼はその男性に仰せになった「あなたの手を伸ばしなさい。」そこで彼が伸ばすと、彼の手はもう一方のように、完全になおっていた。
6．　すると、ファリサイ派の人々はすぐに出ていって、ヘロデ党の者たちと、どうしたら彼を破滅させることができるのか企んだ。

22.　さて、エルサレムから下って来た律法学者たちはこう言っていた。「彼は、ベルゼベルに取りつかれている。」また、「悪霊の頭領によって、彼は悪霊共を投げ出しているのだ。」と。
23.　そこで　彼は彼らをみもとに呼ばれ、たとえ話の中で彼等に仰せになった。「どうやって、サタンがサタンを投げ出す事ができるのか？
24. もし、ある王国が、その内輪で分かれて対立していたら、その王国は立ち行く事ができない。
25. また、もし、ある家が内輪で（それ自身で）分裂して対立したら、その家は立ち行けない。
26.　だから、もし、サタンが身内で（自分自身で）対立して立ち上がり、そして分裂しているなら、彼は立ち行く事ができず破滅してしまう。
27.　だれでも、強い人の家に入って、財産を略奪するためには、（彼は）はじめにその強い人を縛り上げなければ〔入って略奪することは〕できない。そして、それから彼はその（彼の）家を略奪するものだ。
28.　アーメン。私は汝らに言う。この人の子たちのもろもろの罪は全て赦され、また、人がどんなに冒涜的なことを言っても赦される。
29.　しかし、聖霊を侮辱するものは、決して赦されることがなく、永遠の裁きに服することになる。」
30．というのは、彼等が「彼は汚れた霊に取りつかれているのだ。」と言っていたからである。
31.　その時、彼の兄弟達と、（彼の）母とが来た。そして、外に立っていて、彼に使いを送って呼んだ。
32.　さて、彼の周囲に座っていた人々が、彼に言った。「御覧なさい。あなたのお母様と、（あなたの）ご兄弟たちが、外にいて、あなたをお呼びのようです。」
33.　しかし、彼は彼等に答えてこう仰せになった。「だれが私の母であり、また、私の兄弟たちなのか？」
34.　そして、彼は彼の周りに座っている人々を見渡して仰せになった。「見なさい。ここにいるのが、私の母であり、私の兄弟達だ！
35.　だれでも、天の神の御心を行うなら、その人は私の兄弟であり、また、私の姉妹であり、そして、私の母なのだ。」

3 And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand.
 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.
3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.”
 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.
 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.
A Great Multitude Follows Jesus
7 But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea
 8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how many things He was doing, came to Him.
 9 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him.
10 For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him.
11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, “You are the Son of God.”
 12 But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known.
13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.
14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,
15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and[c] to cast out demons:
16 Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter;
 17 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, “Sons of Thunder”;
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite;
 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.
A House Divided Cannot Stand
20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.”
23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?
 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.
 27 No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
The Unpardonable Sin
28 “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter;
29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”—
30 because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers Send for Him
31 Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him.
 32 And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking You.”
33 But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?”
 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”
